The potions size was fora child, the food was okay, we waited 30 minutes for pudding (which was nice). We visited here a few years ago and the meals and service was top standard, now it's on pare with weatherspoons.

As always Hannah and the team go above and beyond to provide exemplar service and the food was absolutely fantastic as always. Can't praise the team enough for their relaxed and professional approach in helping to make the family events we have at the Brown Hare both special and memorable!

My family and I came into the Brown hare on Saturday evening. It was very busy and the staff looked run off their feet. But to their absolute credit, they were all wonderful! Our waitress Kiera was so attentive. She sat us down and asked about food allergies. While none of us do have any allergies I'm sure someone who does would be very comfortable knowing that the Brown Hare is extremely vigilant. Even though there was a wait on food, our drinks arrived extremely quickly and she remembered what each of us ordered. Food was piping hot and the kid's meals were amazing, especially considering my daughter is very picky. A saving grace to parents who know the struggle of picky eaters! Kiera also told my daughter that her colouring on the menu was amazing and that she should be an artist. My little girl spent the rest of the night telling me that the waitress said her drawing was pretty, and even told her nana when we went for Sunday lunch! I don't normally write reviews but I just had to compliment the staff who are an absolute credit to the pub and made our weekend completely. If anyone is unsure about visiting the Brown Hare, don't be!

Came into the brown hare earlier this evening. Was served by a young gentleman. Very polite and friendly though was not as easy ok the eyes as the bar maid hahahahah. Food was delicious. Ordered a drink at the bar from the young lady who was very bubbly and seemed happy to be there however she didnt know the alcohol content of the on draft lagers when I asked. Would be valuable information as I was driving but can be excused as it seems that she is a new hire. Overall would recomend the brown hare to anyone looking for a nice meal and friendly, hardworking staff

We visited on a busy Thursday evening and could immediately see the restaurant was buzzing. The staff let us know there might be a little wait for food, which we appreciated as it set expectations. Despite how busy it was, we were seated promptly and had drinks in front of us within minutes. The service throughout was friendly and attentive, even with the staff clearly working at full pace. Our meals arrived after around 30 minutes, freshly cooked, piping hot, and absolutely delicious — definitely worth the wait. On top of that, we had a 40% voucher which made the whole experience fantastic value for money. Great atmosphere, tasty food, and lovely service — we’ll definitely be back!

I'm glad we found the Brown Hare whilst visiting Preston. It was pretty busy for a Monday night and was drawn in by the varied and extensive menu. After some initial confusion with the app, Lucina promptly stepped in and solved the issue in an efficient manner. The food was top notch: Sunshine salad (for my vegan father) and the fish and chips. Both beautifully presented. The batter on the fish was perfect (crunchy, cooked in clean hot oil). Kudos to the kitchen staff. Some decent real ales on offer and the premises are well kept and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

I couldn't find a vegetarian starter that I liked, and the server offered the cheesy mushrooms without the bacon, which were delicious and very cheesy. I also had the vegetarian Sunday roast which was divine. The vegetables were all cooked to perfection and the spinach pie was lovely. The Yorkshire pudding was something else. Overall I was very happy .

We visited today for Sunday lunch. We all had the Sunday roast trio which was absolutely gorgeous. Our waiter (George) we all agree was exceptional, he was friendly polite and nothing was too much trouble. He helped us decide on both drinks and food. A real credit to his employers. Highly recommend a visit here. We will definitely return soon.

Wheelchair user with certain dietary requirements (not allergies). Staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. From the person in charge, to the chef, to the new recruit on her first shift, all were brilliant. Food was excellent too! Will definitely be visiting again.
